Rivers Monroe has emerged as one of Philadelphia's most popular new
bands in recent memory, beloved by an increasingly fervent local and
national fan following for their extremely energetic, driving and
mainstream brand of music, flavored with a fresh, new, pop/rock and
pop/punk mixture. With their highly anticipated "Meteors" album about
to drop, the Philadelphia-based band has exceeded all expectations
with their collection of energetic and inspiring songs. The band chose
to collaborate with multiple producers, including Steve LaFashia of
Resonant Recording, Jeremy Simon of Viking Camel Studio and Brian
Ritrovota of Range Recording Studios, with a final mix down and master
of the album completed by 6-time Grammy winning producer, Glenn
Barratt, of Morning Star Studios.
The group began to form when keyboardist/vocalist, Mat Rivers, joined
long-time friend and lead-singer Mike Monroe. The two
singer/songwriters teamed up with guitarist, Matt "Doc" Varga,
bassist, Kirby and drummer, Dan Fedele, to fill out their new
pop/rock, pop/punk sound infused with energy and emotion. Together,
the Philadelphia based quintet released their first full-length and
well received album 'Electric Life' in 2009. Their poppy hooks,
passionate lyrics and enthusiastic performances have landed them a
national tour with sponsors: Coca-Cola, Sunoco and Motel 6. The band
has shared the stage with platinum selling artists Jennifer Paige,
Akon, Snoop Dogg, Ben Folds, Guster and AllStar Weekend, just to name
a few. They've had multiple TV and film placements on the Versus
Network, NASCAR Network, Fox Sports TV and Speed TV, and their new
single "Meteors" is featured in the 2011 NASCAR video game by
Activision. Rivers Monroe continues to tour nearly non-stop as their
fans anxiously await their new album. Their music is distributed
worldwide and can be downloaded on iTunes, Amazon.com and other
digital music downloading sites. Follow RM as they continue their 2011
national tour on Facebook, Twitter, Myspace, Youtube and other online
networking sites.
